Voices of Fisher Core Team Members
Adam Logan
Adam has a Degree in Science and a Masters in Agribusiness and has worked in Agriculture for 25 years, helping farmers improve their soil health. Adam has been living in Fisher for 6 years and is settled at Glass House Mountains. He is frustrated that the current political system doesn’t adequately represent everyday people and is looking for opportunities to address this issue.
Fergus FitzGerald
Fergus has been a passionate advocate for environmental sustainability for over 40 years. He has lived on the Sunshine Coast for 15 years. Since retiring as a geologist, he has been actively involved in local bush care, climate action and refugee support groups, often leading these not-for-profit organisations in their endeavours to preserve and enhance the natural and social qualities of this special region.
Marcus Pelto
Marcus Pelto first moved to Caloundra in 2000, and he loves the natural beauty, the friendly people, and the great liveability of Caloundra and the Sunshine Coast. For the last twenty years he has worked internationally with agencies such as the World Bank, the UN, and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. He’s worked with all levels of government to help design, evaluate and manage public policy projects and programs. He has advanced qualifications in political economy, government and law, and he thinks good governance is the secret sauce to better government. He’s a family man, and oddly enough, an old plumber by trade, and therefore not afraid of getting his hands dirty.
Paul Monaghan
Working previously as a Chief Financial Officer and in corporate services roles in both government and private healthcare administration, Paul is now semi-retired. His consulting work has included projects on financial reviews, corporate governance, business shared services and information technology. Paul was also a university lecturer in the School of Public Health, Queensland University of Technology. He volunteers with local community associations including marine rescue activities and cares for trainee guide dogs.
Sue Cawcutt
Sue moved to Maleny in the Fisher electorate in early 2024. She has worked in the community and public sectors in both Victoria and Queensland, and has broad experience in program management, policy and legislation, mostly in the health and justice arenas. Before retirement Sue supported Queensland Parliamentary portfolio committees in their work examining legislation and conducting policy inquiries; committees are made up of Members of all parties and independents.
