Phil Haines

Phil was a founding member of the grassroots community group, Voices for Indi, in 2012. He was campaign manager for independent Cathy McGowan in the 2013 and 2016 elections, and for Helen Haines in the 2019 and 2022 elections. This was the first time that an independent succeeded an independent in the Australian parliament. Phil led the team behind the recent book “The Indi Way” and authored numerous chapters. He is passionate about rural communities and sustainable agriculture.

Clare Doube

Clare is the co-founder of proACT, the community group in the ACT that in 2021 endorsed David Pocock as an independent candidate for the Senate. She was part of David's campaign team and his running mate in the 2022 election. Clare has 25 years experience in human rights, including as global head of strategy at Amnesty International and as the Executive Director of an NGO working with survivors of torture. She is currently a consultant advising on strategy and organising, as well as conducting evaluations and independent oversight including of the prison in the ACT.
