Voices of Fisher (VoF) is a grassroots, volunteer-driven group formed by locals in the southern Sunshine Coast who believe in doing politics differently. Our vision is to see Fisher represented in Canberra by a genuine community independent who puts people before party politics.
To make this happen we have to let people know about us, and that costs money. We rely on community support to fund the essentials like badges and T-shirts, stationery, advertising, event costs like venue hire and guest speakers. Thanks to generous contributions from local supporters and two grants from Climate 200—a group that shares our values of political integrity and evidence-based policy—we’ve been able to raise thousands of dollars. Learn more about Climate 200 and where they get their funding from here.
But money is always tight and you can help us create real change when you can make a donation here, and subscribe to our newsletter to keep updated here.
The major parties are starting to worry as the rise of community independents challenges their grip on power. While they focus on playing party games to protect their own interests and careers, we’re focused on doing our best for the future. For Voices of Fisher, this isn’t about money or careers—it’s about strengthening democracy and creating a better, fairer Australia.
