1.1 Thank you for offering to volunteer for and/or join Voices of Fisher Inc.
1.2 This code applies to all Voices of Fisher volunteers and members of Voices of Fisher Inc. By signing up to volunteer or join Voices of Fisher Inc, you agree to the Code of Conduct.
2. Values
2.1 Voices of Fisher is non-partisan and not aligned to any political party. While prior membership or employment for a political party does not exclude people from volunteering or being members of Voices of Fisher Inc, you agree to respond if we ask for information about your association with a political party.
2.2 We promote integrity, accountability, transparency and evidence based decision making in the political process
2.3 We are committed to parliamentary representation by people who listen first and answer to the community.
2.4 We are committed to listening to the community to understand the issues that matter to people. To date we know that locals want:
- infrastructure that keeps pace with growth
- protection of our natural environment - coastline, bushland and waterways
- serious climate action and renewable energy
- affordable housing for essential workers
- gender equity; and
- improved political integrity by reducing undue influence of vested interests in political decision-making.
3. Code of conduct
3.1 You agree to:
- act positively and in accordance with the values of Voices of Fisher
- use any Voices of Fisher property only as directed or agreed by Voices of Fisher and return it when requested
- notify a team leader or the Secretary of Voices of Fisher Inc if you believe another volunteer has breached this code or engaged in conduct which puts themselves or others at risk; and
- comply with the law at all times.
4. Voluntary role
4.1 As a volunteer or member, you acknowledge that you:
- are not an employee of Voices of Fisher and unless otherwise agreed in writing the work you carry out is provided on a voluntary basis and you will not be paid for that work
- will only perform the tasks which you have been asked or authorised to perform; and
- will be conscious to ensure that any comments you make about Voices of Fisher are consistent with the Volunteer Guide as published from time to time, or are clearly expressed as your own and not made on behalf of Voices of Fisher.
5. Insurance
5.1 Voices of Fisher has public liability insurance cover. We can provide a copy of the certificate of insurance on request.
6. Intellectual property
6.1 If you develop material or content for Voices of Fisher, you agree that Voices of Fisher can use that material or content unless you have advised a team leader or member of the Management Committee otherwise.
7. Confidential information
7.1 As a volunteer and/or member you may be given information that Voices of Fisher considers confidential.
7.2 Where information is given to you which is identified as confidential or which appears to be confidential, you agree to keep any such information confidential and only use it for the purpose for which it is given to you. You may not use or disclose this information to any person for any other purpose, unless required by law.
8. Photo consent
8.1 If you do not want photos of you as a volunteer or member to be used by Voices of Fisher on its website or social media then please advise the person taking photographs at an event that you do not want to be included.
8.2 Unless you otherwise notify us, you agree that photos taken of you whilst volunteering may be used by Voices of Fisher including through our social media channels.
